Costs
49ers PREP Flag Football is 100% free to participants. Most youth leagues are for profit and charge hundreds of dollars to register.

Transportation
Our goal is to spread out through the bay area extending to central and northern California. We do not want our parents driving more hours to get to practices and games. We will have multiple leagues in bigger cities if needed.
Safety Concerns
Concerns over kids playing football has grown over the past decade. Flag Football presents a safe option for kids who are new to the sport or want to play football with less contact. Flag Football also allows kids to play multiple positions and learn the game on a fundamental level with less players per team and on a smaller field.
Competitiveness
Youth sports programs are hyper competitive. AAU, elite soccer, and other programs are designed to provide kids a advanced level of instruction. These programs can be beneficial for kids who show a high level of skill but what about the rest? 49ers PREP Flag Football fills in that gap. We DO NOT keep score. Our goal isn’t to filter who wins and loses. Rather, our goal is to provide a safe and fun environment that fosters sportsmanship and team work while promoting the fundamentals of football.
